My name is Kimberley Sterling from Enfield in north London and I really want to be chosen for this position. It would be my absolute pleasure to work for you. As you can see I am very keen on impressing you in order to get this 'Junior Creative Video Editor' position that you are recruiting for. Graduating with a degree in film studies & production I worked on several music videos, TV commercials, and corporate videos in the industry. Previously working as a production assistant on two feature films, other duties that I have carried out include supporting the producers and director during pre production with data entry, digitizing footage, managing casting tapes, camera kits, and post production. I also managed the entire supporting artists process, which involved advertising and organizing auditions, registration, and overseeing the contracts and release forms.

I also have the skills to create development ideas, scripting, scouting locations, casting, set design, lighting, special effects make up, editing, and using a semi professional cameras. To date I have produced three short films, three music videos, six theater productions, and more applicable to this post, four exclusive JLS internet videos.

I am able to liaise with people at all levels, including those with talent, just as I posses much of the Teamwork skills also necessary to fulfill this role, for duties like assisting technical teams and crew members, having a clear understanding of editorial guidelines, copyright laws, target audiences, and project objectives. I am perfectly capable of working to specifications set by varying departments, thus conveying the required message, style, and mood for the intended project.

P.C literate, I am excellent at all aspects of administration, however I can also offer a lot more, for example; devising call sheets, and presentations using packages like Power Point, Microsoft Word, Windows Media, and Quick Time. Apple Mac literate I work very well with software such as Final Cut Pro, Motions, Photoshop, Live Text, Final Draft, Mpeg Stream Clip and Dvd Pro used for example building DVDs, their menus, covers and inlay cards, as well as encoding for web, so I have a great eye for creative detail.

As a down to earth, reliable, hard worker, I am a motivated individual who works well with people from all backgrounds so consider me as a team player within the work environment. I would really like to be selected for interviewing as in order to develop my skills in the creative video area and further my career and creativity.

Lastly, I would like to inform you on two further attributes; I have a full UK drivers license and great availability, and desire to start working imminently.
