About me

WOMENSWEAR & PRINT GRADUATE DESIGNER

I am currently seeking a creative opportunity - a Junior or Assistant Designer position within a womenswear design studio working with wovens, jersey and print in London or the South.
As a passionate, energetic, fashion and textile designer, I am dedicated to producing innovative silhouettes and creative print graphics. I enjoy taking inspiration from a range of stimuli including three-dimensional aspects of architectural form, medieval armour fused with current trends. These have driven the contemporary focus of my previous design visions. Being a versatile designer, I am adaptable with design or specific markets and have the ability to translate more conceptual visions into commercial reality.

I apply passion and purpose to everything I do, with self motivation and a strong sense of team work. As a quick learner I am open to new ideas and methods and always striving to learn and improve.

With experience in various design houses from high-end to high-street, I have developed a knowledge of design studio practice and essential skills in CAD programmes including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint. My experience of retail has enhanced my understanding of the commercial fashion market. I have also worked on commissions as a freelance designer, building working relationships with clients.

I have a strong creative, educational background. This includes graduating with an Upper Second Class Honours (2:1) BA (Hons) in Fashion and Textile Design at UWE Bristol.
