Kim's work

About Kim

Dear Sir/Madam,I am writing to you with regards to the Junior Designer position that you have advertised with creativepool. I am a graduate of BA (hons) Design in 2008 from the University of Salford, Greater Manchester. Through the progression of the course, though thoroughly enjoying the product design areas, I felt that my skills and my heart lay more with the graphical elements of the course. I then pursued this area after graduating. Coupling my desire to enter the industry and my passion of adventure, I moved to Amsterdam and found myself a job with a design studio. In my most recent position at Maestro Amsterdam, I started as a graphic design intern and very quickly was given the title and responsibilities of junior designer/art director, handling my own projects, participating in client meetings and being responsible to produce the work for strict deadlines. I was able to apply my skills from university in these situations and build upon this with each new challenge. I have also developed new skills with copywriting, photography, acquisition and marketing whilst working at Maestro. Also just the experience of moving out to Amsterdam, a city with strong design ideas and developments, to pursue a career in what I love, has really made me grow as both a designer and a person.Over the past four years I have become highly proficient in Adobe Suite on both Mac and PC. I am able to work under stress and tight deadlines whilst still keeping my work to the high standards that my studio, my client and I expect of myself. I see myself as a multi skilled designer, coming from a product background, and recently working with a graphic design and advertising agency. I love what I do, and I feel that this is reflected in my work. I truly feel that I would make a significant contribution to your company. Please find attached my CV which demonstrates that I have the skills and drive that you desire, and please have a look at my online work at kimfarrall.blogspot.com. I am available to start immediately as I have temporary accommodation with people in London that I could use. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours sincerely Kim Farrall
