About me

My name is Khurram Kalam. I am interested in working as a Junior Digital Producer. I am passionate about digital media and have focused my education/career around the digital world. I have completed a Bachelors of Fine Art(Emphasis in Video, Sound and New Media) from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007 and a Masters in Animation from the University of Creative Arts in 2010. I have also worked in a number of different studios around New York and have done a number of freelance websites.
My responsibilities in freelance website was to create a functional website from a created design. I mainly worked with Illustrator, photoshop and dreamweaver(HTML and CSS) to develop and code. I was also tasked to setup the domain and hosting provider. As well, as manage SEO for majority of the sites. I worked with google webmaster and google analytics to help clients rank their site and adjust critical information for meta data and tags.

In addition, I have worked in a number of different studios in New York and Chicago. I was a runner at White House Post. I was also an assistant in a music and a photography studio. I was tasked to work on the studio digital libraries, work with clients and develop ideas and help in technical aspects for the studio.
I am interested in becoming a digital producer because of my passion for multiple areas. I have studied and worked in almost every aspect of digital media and also know a number of programs and consider my self to be highly tech savvy. I would like to work with both sides of creative and production.
