About me
Kgabo Mametja is a creative whose work can be described as bold and unapologetic. She studied visual
communications at Vega where she developed an interest in commercial art and, more specifically, its values
around accessibility. This interest was the catalyst that drove her to search for ways to make her design work
a little more playful. It was at this point that she taught herself how to illustrate. Her career started off in
advertising, where she worked as a designer while continuing to hone her skills as an illustrator through
personal projects. She took the leap into working for herself in March 2019. This move gave her the
opportunity to work with clients like Penguin Random House, Pop Sugar, Working Not Working, ONE and
Puma under the moniker, Saint Rose.
