About me
I have recently completed my BA in Visual Communication. Within this course I developed my skills as an art director/creative copywriter. Through study and practise I enhanced my abilities to think creatively and freely, using influences from the world around me. I developed commercial ideas that would be used to advertise products, services, events etc. Through different approaches such as word association and brainstorming I was able to begin thinking in new ways that helped me create new ideas. During my time at University I was expected to work as part of a creative team and I thrived on the ability to create ideas along side somebody else. My colleague and me forged a very effective partnership, which resulted in some of our best work. We learnt to share and develop ideas as well as controlling our emotions when we were not in agreement with each other. Working effectively as part of this team was invaluable to my experience and future as an art director. I also took part in one-day advertising briefs as well as my set modules. We were expected to work effectively to tight deadlines, organising our own time and mini deadlines. My artistry as a graphic designer meant that I could show my ideas to a high visual level when completed, where I would be expected to present my final ideas to large groups of people. I was successful in being able to communicate my ideas clearly and confidently. I am now looking for the next step in my creative career.
