Kevin's work
About Kevin
I believe that I have a range of skills and experience that I could bring to this role. I lived and worked abroad for most of my twenties, I first became involved in classroom education more than 20 years ago, in higher education 15 years ago, the use of technology in education more than 12 years ago and e-learning design, delivery and support 10 years ago. I have also completed several on-line courses myself as a learner.
The variety and combination of this experience means I have a rounded appreciation of the needs and expectations of all the various parties involved in e-learning design, support and delivery. I am at home working with academics, developers and administrators. I have a continuing passion for e-learning, which to me integrates all the previous phases of my working life. I believe that my genuine enthusiasm can often help people to adopt or adapt to new working practices.
I worked for 6 years as the lead instructional designer in a UK University, in a role which seems very similar to this one. More recently, I have honed my own developing skills creating training courses for a major international manufacturer.
