About me

I am currently searching for a position as a designer and noticed your position for a Designer advertised on the reed website and I feel I would be perfect for the role. I'm currently working as a designer within a sales based design and print company in the Durham area and freelancing for several different clients, but am willing to relocate for the right opportunity, and I'm looking for a fresh, exciting challenge within a team that understands the thrill of graphic design.

In my current position at Pro-Actif Communications I design for a range of products from corporate literature, stationary, and promotional material to large format presentations. I also handle the printing of small to medium runs of a digital press, prepare and proof all jobs that come through the company and perform the day-to-day maintenance of the in-house printing facilities.

I also do work on a freelance basis for several clients. This includes producing editorial layouts for magazines or brochures such as 'informnorth', and flyers and other promotional items for local pubs and businesses such as the Northeast area 'Varsity' bars for bespoke events and deals.

My main skills are based around editorial/layout, corporate identity, advertising, publications and image manipulation using contemporary Mac based applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, Studio MX and Quark Xpress. I'm also familiar with web/interface principals using basic HTML and the before mentioned Studio MX.
