About me

Two words can be used to describe me, Creative and Innovative. Whilst I have an ability to visualise and promote many concepts that can be difficult to be understood to the wider audience in a modern and innovative way, I am also open to the traditional and tried methods of editorial design.

During my 10 years in the industry I have been privileged to work with some great teams on some prestigious publications such as Time Europe Magazine where I was the Deputy Art Director, in charge of the day to day operations of a busy design department and worked with some of the best Art Director's in New York and Hong Kong.

In addition while I was in tenure with TSL I headed the design team for two of the most renowned publications for teaching, ( TES Primary and TES Teacher). This has enabled me to advance my lateral design and conceptual processes as well as my problem solving and people management attributes. I am able to evoke trust and cooperation through a team based policy of working which has assisted in reducing the high pressure atmosphere that can and does exist in a fast paced, deadline based environment. I had the distinction of being the lead designer for the re launch of numerous TES magazines and I worked closely with David Hillman to facilitate the launch of the new look TES newspaper.

I have also had experience of working on a fast paced newspaper, as Art Director, which evolved during my time at India Weekly as the paper developed and expanded.
