About me

I have been in my current role for 2 years as a Research Executive
at a lrge London based market/media research agency and I'm
looking for a fresh challenge. I recently relocated back up to
Manchester in January 2010 as this is an area of the country I love. In
line with this I'm also looking to work in an area where I feel I
can transfer the skills I have developed into a working field and
environment such as marketing. I believe I possess all the necessary
skills and have acquired relevant experience to comfortably make a
successful switch from market research to marketing.
Whilst at SPA, using my own initiative I created the companies first
and only social committee and I was personally responsible for
organising and coordinating various activities and social events. I was
also invited to join a structure called SPARK which selects outstanding
members of staff to join and sits just beneath the board in the
company's hierarchy which is responsible for driving the company
forward internally and externally. These experiences were very
enjoyable and also helped me to develop skills outside of my remit and
helped me to develop exchangeable skills to this position.
I have acquired excellent written skills and a keen eye for
attention to detail, as these are crucial skills needed to achieve to a
high standard in my current working environment; the nature of my work
ensures that it is vital that all my work is precise and accurate. This
has enabled me to learn how to take complex issues and terms and turn
them into easily accessible forms. I also have practice of giving oral
presentations and working as a member of team which has helped me to
feel confident regarding my language and communication skills. I was
also responsible for a great deal of project and account management at
SPA and some of my clients were amongst the biggest names in the UK
media and technology markets.
I have a high level of computer literacy and I am very comfortable
with Microsoft Office packages particularity Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
and Excel. During any average working day I have constant contact with
clients in various guises; through email, over the telephone and in
person and often managed not just my own time and responsibilities but
organising other members, including those of a senior levels, diaries
too.
I am a conscientious, adaptable and highly self-motivated
individual, who enjoys working in a challenging atmosphere. If I was to
be given this opportunity I would give everything that I have to ensure
my success and I would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate my
abilities.
