About me

As displayed on my attached resume, I have completed my BFA at the Ringling College of Art and Design majoring in Illustration with a minor in Photography. I have developed my skills and techniques through specialized courses in graphic design, computer illustration, composition, color and media. The afore mentioned courses involved the use of computer programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Corel Painter. I commonly use a Wacom Tablet and am proficient in the Adobe Suite up to CS4. I am also proficient in several types of traditional media.

In addition to my schooling, I have been freelancing with a repeat customer base and have gained experience in working with a diverse set of clients. While freelancing, I primarily worked on character design and development, spot illustrations, and realistic wildlife drawings. Under strict deadlines, I pushed myself to produce high quality work. I am comfortable working as part of a production team and I strive in fast- paced settings. To help pay for school, I have worked several food- based jobs in the past and this has helped me learn team building skills. I am currently using my creative passion to develop lesson plans and materials while team teaching Japanese junior high school students English and aid in their understanding of western cultures. I am very excited about the position you are offering and I feel it will build upon my academic and practical training and provide a firm foundation for my future career in illustration.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information on my background and qualifications such as transcripts, supplementary portfolio, or letters of recommendation. I look forward to speaking with you and meeting you soon.
