About me

Hello, I'm Kelly.

My passion for design is extensive, not a moment passes without thinking of something design related weather it's a new campaign idea, web banner design, magazine layout, logo, or the tactile nature of a product, I believe that a good designer is someone that is consumed by the small things, the detail, the aesthetics. I can defiantly say "this is me!" and I believe I hold the qualities and skill sets required for the role.

My degree in Graphic and Media Design was obtained at The University of the Arts London (London College of Communication) in which I specialised in design for advertising with honors (2:1). I also studied at Central Saint Martins in the same field for a year prior to my degree, specialising in moving image and graphic design. Since graduating in 2009 I have been in full time employment as a graphic designer with a number of companies and also freelance projects, my most current role focuses on the Medical / Health and Beauty sectors. In this position I have achieved the additional role of marketing assistant.

I am, as it is said an 'all-rounder' with great knowledge of typographical conventions, page layouts, embossing, screen printing and most importantly professional design programs such as Adobe CS5 (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash). In addition to these I have an understanding of HTML, CSS, website maintenance and SEO.

I am not a person to rigorously stand by the job description, I am happy to shift priorities and dabble in other aspects to get the job done. I have a willingness to learn, take criticism and develop.

In addition to the skills mentioned I describe myself as an enthusiastic, ambitious, individual who is self-motivated, creative with excellent people skills. Somewhat of a perfectionist and I have a keen eye for detail, and strive to achieve my greatest potential. I aim to push my abilities and prospects to the up-most and able to present a multitude of ideas and analyze information thoroughly in order to solve creative and non-creative problems. Thinking beyond comfortable solutions and generating exciting innovative and pleasing to the eye ideas comes naturally to me.
