About me

In 2011 I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a BA Hons in Graphic design. Since then I have worked full time at BaseKit and Ahilya in central London, and am very keen to progress my career and gain experience in an area of the design industry I am passionate about.

The position would be an ideal opportunity for me to use my creativity and experience. I worked as an intern whilst studying for my degree, gaining experience in-house at Juicy Couture, as well as in a design studio environment. I also worked on the re-branding of a student magazine where I managed a team of design students. I have always had a love of print and typography design, and am especially interested in design within the music industry and magazine print. I frequently read design blogs and visit exhibitions to get inspiration and stay up-to-date with new trends in design. Most recently I visited the UK poster association's exhibition of screen printed gig posters.

As well as specialising in graphic design, my previous jobs have allowed me to gain new skills in web design. Working alongside the marketing teams to ensure optimisation and SEO of our websites, through quality content and design. As BaseKit is an international company I have had to design for a wide audience, working on our websites for Spain, Brazil and Mexico. I also used my knowledge of print to manage jobs where I have liaised with printers to find the best prices, as well as making sure the job is finished to a high standard.

I work well under pressure and am always eager to show my skills and ideas. I believe that this would make me a valuable asset to your team, and am very excited about the opportunity to work for your company. I am looking to progress and challenge myself in new areas of design, and I believe your company would allow me to do this.
