About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for looking at my CV and for taking into consideration my application. I am seeking to gain more experience in the form of PR, Marketing, Journalism and Advertising and feel that working at your company would help me do so. I have always had an interest in marketing campaigns, photography and design and believe that your company would allow me to broaden this interest and gain more experience. Having undertaken extensive research into your company, I feel that there is a lot to learn from yourselves so I can gain even more current experience and help me towards my future goals.

Part of my university studies of Journalism and PR was to look at how to get information across to the consumer in a simple and interesting way. I already have experience in these fields as I was being set assignments each week in Publishing and PR, producing informative articles and in-design layouts for them. I have written for my local school paper and have had extensive experience in interviewing and recording sequences for the radio, then gone onto edit articles for various companies. My skills in this will help me to conduct beneficial research for you i.e. questioning the public and producing videos for the Internet link site, as well as writing interesting features and editing articles, then producing designed pieces to give them more reader appeal.

Having participated in many Speech and Drama lessons and competitions over the years I have gained a lot of confidence, which I feel allows me to work well with others in a team environment, but also equally well on my own. My creative PR skills have been built up over many years with work experience, thus allowing me to create a piece of writing along with an advert that is both informative, but at the same time interesting to the consumer. My planning skills have allowed me to create many small events of my own that have been successful as well as working as an event planner at the moment. I am a keen worker, who is willing to learn all aspects in the production of a Campaign and the release of Public Relations to consumers and the details that go into planning an event. I am highly ambitious and driven to succeed in Journalism, Marketing and PR, as this has always been a passion of mine. Therefore I see this role as an opportunity to enhance my skills and broaden my knowledge.

I am interested in the latest music, films, television programmes and especially high glamour fashion magazines, which are key features of your company.
