About me
I am a dedicated individual with a wide range of skills, who can find something interesting in anything. An excellent multi-tasker with a creative edge and a sharp eye, I am currently looking for a role in which I can continue to prove my excellence as a writer in a professional environment. I have recently completed a Masters in Television Journalism at City University London and have worked both as a staff writer and freelancer for a B2B magazine since September 2010. With a strong background in writing and sub-editing (both at a B2B magazine and at degree level), I hope to work for an exciting and first-rate company that allows me to develop those skills.
My professional experience includes freelancing for a B2B magazine that analyses and reports on the over-the-counter pharmaceutical markets in Asia-Pacific. This has not only made me an expert in a niche market, it has also taught me how to turn quite a dry subject into an engaging and insightful story. It has also given me a nose for market trends and a highly flexible writing style and tone.
With regards to my own personal story, I spent most of my childhood moving between countries in South East Asia. My experiences growing up there have given me a broad spread of knowledge of different cultures, and a deep interest in the stories of places and the people who live there. Moving country every two years has also made me quick to adapt to change and strike up good relationships with the people that I meet.
I would love the opportunity to be part of your company, as well as utilise and develop my writing skills in a profession that I care strongly about.
