About me

Kaz started his career as a strategist in Dentsu Tokyo, later becoming a creative and strategy hybrid.

His work has been innovative from the early days, participating in the first undertaking for Dentsu, a start-up "Euglena", which stock price jumped over 50 times.

His challenges continues around the world in over 20 countries, serving more than 50 brands.

Awarding himself awards such as Cannes, Oneshow, LIA, Adfest, Spikes, Adstar. Kaz also published books on branding which entered Top 3 in Amazon's marketing book rankings.

Arriving in China in 2014, Kaz established CDC China adding on over 25 new clients, pitch winning exceeding 70%, and winning more than 85 awards medals including winning 1st medal from Oneshow, LIA, 1st Gold from Adfest, 1st Grand-prix from China great wall, and 3rd from Effie, for Beijing Dentsu etc.

Kaz is passionate on dedicating his time in mentoring young talents, the future of the industry. Kaz participates in Cannes Young Lions Greater China every year as the youngest jury since 2015. Kaz received the Good Jury of the Talent award from Modern Advertising magazine, the organizer of Young Lions China. He has also been elected as the jury of China 4A Award and also the youngest Jury president of China's biggest award Great Wall Awards Interactive/Digital category last year.

In March 2017, he was awarded the most pioneering leader in Dentsu Aegis China, later in June promoted CCO of Dentsu Shanghai, the youngest ever. As CCO,

Kaz has led the team to a winning ratio exceeding 60%, profit jumped by more than 400%, added in 20 new accounts, shifted the client portfolio from the originally skewed 80% Japanese clients to a more balanced 50% local and international clients and 50% Japanese client base, and has tripled the CR team headcount, now managing over 90 team members.

Campaign brief ASIA CR agency ranked Beijing Dentsu 4th for 2018; a great jump from 21st in 2016 and 7th in 2017. Beijing Dentsu had never been ranked prior to Kaz's arrival in China.

2017 Campaign Agency of the Year short listed Beijing Dentsu, again for the first time. Furthermore, Kaz has been selected as runner-up for Greater China Creative Person of the Year.

2018 Campaign Brief's THE WORK is selected Kaz for Top20 ECD in APAC also he is elected as jury for Cannes, LIA and One show, and he has been shortlisted as Campaign Agency of the Year Greater China Creative person of the year for 2 consecutive years.

Arriving in Canada in Aug 2019, Kaz took on a new challenge focusing on 2 missions, Dentsu Bos Canada's ECD for Innovation and DAN Canada's Solution leadership member to strengthen the CR power in areas beyond the advertising domain for both Local and Global clients.

In addition, he successfully established DAN Canada CR council to improve CR excellence. Leading the council and promoting CR collaboration across the group.

Most recently following Kaz's arrival, Dentsu Bos was awarded for D&AD and One show for the first time and he was elected as jury for Lisbon international award in 2020 for 2 consecutive years.

In Oct 2020, he is appointed as CCO dentsuMB China and came back to China again.
