About me
As a student and designer my aim was to create awareness for the unnoticed and hidden aspects of our surroundings. My desire for creating this awareness is largely responsible for my fascination with macro-photography which also allows me to explore my love of all that is commonly perceived as insignificant or simply just missed by most. I prefer to focus on research and conceptualisation to create a contemporary relevant product that is well thought of and well designed; making use of different design approaches, techniques and materials.
Because I have only just graduated I have not had much work experience, however the work that I have done has presented sufficient challenges; with a focus on client designer relationships, working form specified briefs as well as developing our own briefs and carry the concept through to an end product. My final year certainly developed and strengthened my character and installed a sense of pride and self motivation. Though out my course my endurance, creativity and my ability as a designer to function under stress, with difficult clients and within tight deadlines was challenged; Which I overcame with great successes (a distinction in illustration).
I enjoy working alone but at the same time I am able to work as part of a team, discussing ideas and conveying concepts to groups of people. I am used to working and adhering to strict deadlines, I am hard working and am keen to learn.
