About me

I am a twenty four year old living in West London. Having moved to the city at the age of seventeen to study Literature and Creative writing in Richmond i am looking to continue working and writing within the creative industries. Having specialised in European literature and film studies my roles to date have reflected my eagerness to stay involved in these fields. Having since worked for a number high profile companies in London managing online content and client facing relations, i am now looking for more remote work. I have experience as a Copywriter and a content editor for a number of companies in London and have worked as an intern amoung the editing teams of well known creative publications such as Dazed and Confused and Vice. Since graduating I have held positions where it is my responsiblity to manage and curate social platforms for companies such as The Ivy and The Library in Notting Hill. I have also worked for a luxury concierge company in Knightsbridge where I was expected to attend events and openings and review and publish articles on a daily basis. I have included a link below which collates a section of my published work to date.

Prior to living in London i lived in Buckinghamshire on an equestrian based farm where i trained and competed in Dressage competitions that i still dedicate some of my time to. Along with equestrianism, my greatest childhood passion has undoubtedly been reading. From a young age i had a fantastic propensity for reading and writing and have pursued this interest for my whole life, allowing it to shape and mould my interests, education and professional goals ever since. I started reading with a love of authors such as Mary Shelley, James Joyce, Bukowski, Virginia Woolf, William Borroughs and Jack Kerouac. Once I had intensified my studies and refined my tastes I begun taking a larger interest in female authors and tailored my thesis in university to authors such as Anaiis Nin, Francoise Sagan, Alissa Nutting, Maggie Nelson, Anne Carson and Erica Jong. I also combined my literary studies with an exploration into the works of filmmaker Ingmar Bergman, Patty Jenkins and Sofia Coppola, whom i am particularly fond of. I also have a keen interest in the study and history of Art which tends to interweave with the study of literature in peculiar and unexpected ways. My favourite artist has always been Francis Bacon and while I am aware that he seems a lot like the typical choice in naming a favourite artist, i am completely in awe of his work. Cy Twombly and Tracey Emin are two more absolute favourite of mine alongside Egon Schiele and Klimt.
