About me
My name is Katie Lane I am a London based fashion printed textile designer and process developer. As a recent graduate from University of East London, I have challenged myself to encompass all areas of the creative field within my education. After three years at University, I have explored different realms of creativity such as film, graphic design, fine art printing and fashion tailoring. Having learnt other disciplines through my education it has allowed me to think differently about design, reflecting upon elements that are drawn together in order to formulate the design process such as space, concept, sustainability and originality. Obtaining new skills, I consider design not just apparent in my specialism of printed textile but also considered in my design process to collect and combining other mediums to my work enabling innovation of new materials and tools to create advanced textile fabrication.
