About me
I am passionate and creative in all aspect of my work and thrive to give my best.
I offer over 26 years experience in design roles, mainly within children's products, from costumes to apparel, accessories to toys and soft furnishing.
Working with licenses has played a main part throughout most of my career, giving me a great understanding and knowledge with licensors, stye guides and approval procedures, that can be carried over to many new job roles.
My last full time position was working with a small team to build up a new brand of specialist clothing. I was the main designer and my role had many requirements, from researching our targeted consumer, to sourcing the suitable organic fabrics, designing the range, working with the factory to help meet the required details and construction the clothing needed, to providing full tech packs for production, through to assisting on shoots and packaging design.
My designs skills are mainly in Illustrator, but with good knowledge in Photoshop too. I want to constantly learn and further myself within my career. I would love to be given the chance to expand more into other areas of design, furthering my experience in apparel as well as illustrations, graphics and prints .....either it be clothing or stationery.
I enjoy working as a team player but I also excel at using my own initiative to make sure the final results are delivered to an exceptional standard.
I am based in Cornwall, so looking for either FT/PT Cornwall based work, remote work ( I am happy to travel to other locations a couple of times of months if needed) or Freelance
