Dear Sir/Madman

I am writing to you to express my strong interest in your vacancy for a Marketing Content Executive at Caterham Cars. I am currently working as a Marketing Co-ordinator at Cygnet Texkimp, part of the Cygnet group. I am applying for this role as I would love to move my career into the automotive market as I have a passion for these products; especially Caterham as they are a true representative of British engineering.

I have recently graduated from DeMontfort University studying Business Studies Bsc with an upper 2nd class honors degree. I am a UK citizen and have full right to work in the UK. I have a full clean driving licence and have full personal mobility domestically and internationally.

I believe I should be considered a good prospect for a career with you because during my placement year at Cummins in marketing I gained a lot of experience with I feel would be valuable to you. I gained insight knowledge of the communications and marketing by assisting with the planning and co-ordination of Cummins tradeshow stands. I also helped with new product launches and advertisement campaign for Tier 4 final products and Euro 6 products. By organising and running a European Sales training for staff coinciding with the Bauma tradeshow I was able to learn information about the products and how they work but this also shows my organisational skills. During my time at Cummins I gained excellent knowledge of professional customer service, having to meet with big customers such as PACCAR and Liebherr and then also meeting customers upon the tradeshow stands. I also have effective team working skills having to work in a small team of 4 to plan events and the run marketing campaigns and ensure that all the work we were doing ran smoothly to each other.

I have excellent IT skills and excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I look forward to further developing all aspects of my IT skills. I am a very enthusiastic individual and enjoy getting involved in all tasks. I have a passion for excellence and enjoying seeking new opportunities and challenges in order to make a difference.

I am excited by the opportunity offered you and feel that this would provide me with an excellent foundation on which to build my future career. I look forward further developing my marketing and PR skills applying academic theory learnt at into practice. I also look forward to applying my current skills in a challenging role.
