About me

I am a highly enthusiastic and vibrant young woman and I have just finished my degree at Manchester Metropolitan University studying Interactive Arts (BA Hons) and I am proud to have received a 2:1. I consider myself to have the skills and work ethic for the role that you are recruiting. Upon finishing my degree in June I have relocated to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. I look forward to meeting new people, making new friends and having the chance to explore a new city.

Having studied art for the past four years I have had the time and experience to have explored a broad range of techniques from digital work in Photoshop, to traditional methods such as screen printing. During my art foundation I designed the end of year show flyer which went out to all family, friends and around Harrogate and I also designed and hand letter pressed roughly 300 of my own business cards for my degree show.

My current role working within Sitel and representing Capital One credit cards as a PPI Specialist Accounts Manager in high pressure situations has given me new skills and I have learnt a lot from it. Previously I felt that I didn't know much about credit cards and due to training I now feel that I can speak accurately and intelligently about credit and educate customers and provide them with the information they need to know. I began in the business just two months ago and the company saw something in me and I was headhunted and moved to different department with much more responsibility.

My previous role working as a waitress to help fund my studies is one that I have always enjoyed. Working for Barrett's Event Caterers requires me to have great customer service. The majority of these events are weddings, where the main focus of the day is ensuring that those involved experience the very best service possible, and it is my role to use my ability and experience to listen and understand customer needs with a polite, friendly and professional manner. My job requires building a good relationship with my customers and I must show an attention to detail to ensure that everything is perfect. The busy pace of the catering industry requires me to be organised and have very good time keeping skills to ensure everything runs smoothly. It is also essential that I remain positive, upbeat and energetic whilst working very long shifts and in stressful situations and I find that I am able to flourish in these high pressure situations, where using my initiative proves extremely useful. The ability to work in a team is key as well as being able to delegate responsibilities to other members of staff. Working for a catering agency requires me to move from place to place and changing work place daily showing adaptability and requiring good time keeping.

I consider myself loyal, friendly and upbeat whilst being professional with great manners. I have lots of experience with customer service to a high standard giving me great people skills. I have a fantastic telephone manner and have dealt with a variety of customers over the phone helping with a broad range of enquiries.
