About me

My name is Katie Moth, I am a graduate from the University College for the Creative Arts in Farnham. I graduated with a first class BA (hons) Textile Design degree, specializing in print.

I have a huge passion for textiles and want to work my way into the industry. My dream is to pursue a career in print design and I am currently looking the right avenue to start.

Since graduating I have exhibited at New Designers Selection 2007 in the London Oxo Tower. I was selected as one of 50 designers and had my work in Design Week. I have had work experience placements at Lazyoaf (lazyoaf.com) as a studio assistant, Marks and Spencer as part of the visual merchandising team and at Debenhams as a print designer for the lingerie and accessories department. I also have a forthcoming work placement, window dressing at Harvey Nichols and am currently working on some freelance projects.

I have a good technical knowledge of CAD programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft office, Primavision, and Corel Draw. I am MAC and PC literate.

Along with my key design skills I have a good eye for colour reinforced by my award from the Dyers Company for my innovative use of colour. I have strong presentational skills, am a great team player and communicator and above all I think I would be an asset to the company.

Ultimately I am looking for a job where I can express my creative potential in a professional environment and I would be grateful if you could offer me the opportunity.
