About me

I am a recent photography graduate from Nottingham Trent University, now back living in Northamptonshire. My three years at university have taught me how to work within many aspects of photography, in particular photographing people and events, on location and in the studio. Whilst studying, I worked voluntarily for the student magazine, Platform. This entailed photographing events from sports matches to fashion shoots to music gigs, and members of the university to accompany written pieces. In my final year, I gained the position of Pictures Sub-editor for Platform. This involved deciding what was to be covered photographically for the magazine, organising dates and times, photographing events, delegating jobs to other photographers, as well as advising, and most importantly making sure we all kept to the fortnightly deadline. From my experience I thoroughly understand the importance of meeting deadlines, which I also put into practise during my work experience at the Nottingham Evening Post.At the Evening Post I was able to observe how other photographers worked, as well as work independently as a photographer for the newspaper. As a daily publication, efficiency and competency is very important to the smooth running of a large organisation so I have learnt how to work with time constraints and under pressure. I really enjoy working in a fast paced environment with a wide variety of models and subjects to cover. My other work experiences include working with a wedding and lifestyle photographer in Jersey, at Which
