About me
My name is Kathryn Slack and I graduated from the Surrey Institute of Art and Design with a 2:1 honors degree in Graphic Communication in 2005, where I specialized in printed media.
I have organised many placements at various magazines including Sugar and with the BBC at Girl Talk, as well as with The Forster Company where I was able to work on government campaigns. I started working at Freemans PLC in October 2005 and have learnt a lot about fashion, layout, colour, and art direction. My main responsibilities with Freemans were making promotional mailings for the company. I left Freemans in April 2006 when my temporary contract expired, I started working at Westside London hoping to receive new challenges and progress my design career. At Westside London I worked on various briefs from art working of annual reports and postcards to making concepts and designing marketing campaigns and websites.
I am the fun and enthusiastic team player that you are looking for. My main passions in life are fashion, design, illustration, art and culture, I am looking for a job that will teach me new skills whilst nurturing and understanding the skills I have now and developing them. I thrive on areas like corporate identity, image making, typography, layout, promotion and illustration. I enjoy nothing more than exercising my creative skills.
