About me

Dear Sir/ Madam

I have spent two years travelling in Australasia spending the majority of my time both in Sydney and in Auckland working as a Graphic Designer. In Australia my employer was State Transit Authority of New South Wales where I was responsible for their advertising literature in and around Sydney and NSW. In New Zealand my employer was The NZ Herald, New Zealand's premier daily newspaper where I designed and managed publications throughout the country. Both roles required me to meet deadlines within a short space of time without sacrificing attention to detail. Prior to obtaining these posts I worked in a variety of temporary roles. This included reception/administration work which I undertook just after I first arrived in Australia.

My experience in the above roles has served to complement a good degree (2:1) in General Illustration & Design (as well as this I obtained a HND, which was also in Design) and has enabled me to look at a broader range of media and develop an ability to work under pressure in a professional manner whilst maintaining accuracy and high quality. I am a hard working and polite individual that thrives on illustration and design challenges. I also work well both in a team environment and individually as I am self motivated.

I have experience using a wide range of applications and I am able to learn new systems proficiently and with ease. My enthusiastic nature and positive attitude allows me to work well with clients as well as with my peers.
