Dear Sir or Madam,

I am interested in the advertised position of creative strategist. I am a personable, professional and enthusiastic social media executive.

I recently completed a paid internship for an ecommerce b2b group buying business. I managed Business Crayon's Enterprise Now, a major national competition with sponsors Google and Experian. As well as this I managed the day-to-day social media and engagement strategy. This included creating content on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, with a 40% increase in followers, as well as writing for the company blog and business forums. During the campaign a like for like click rate was increased by 55% with the bounce rate decreased by 15% as well as a 20% increase in traffic from non-core channels as a result of direct social engagement. It was commented on by the management that I possess a high level of initiative and was a quick learner.

In 2010 I graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia, with a Bachelor of Arts, Media and Communications with a strong focus in social media. I am a dual Australian-British citizen.

The deadlines and timeframes of university assignments has given me a great understanding of time management and project planning skills required for projects, working both in a team and for a client brief. That, together with my extensive experiences within the retail and hospitality industry whilst studying, has also attributed to my exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.

My work experience through high school and University has provided me with the skills and confidence to interact well with customers and build long-term relationships and business partnerships. I believe myself to be a self-starter, extremely motivated and enjoy taking responsibility. I have a high degree of ownership in all that I undertake and I am committed to performing each task at my best. I have strong communication skills and I am proficient in Microsoft Office.
