About me

I began my professional career as an edit assistant working on Avid systems after completing a degree in film and video. After working in television for a few years I went solo and became a videographer for corporate clients, whilst also collaborating with filmmakers editing short films and documentaries. I returned to higher education at Goldsmiths in 2014 studying for my MA in TV journalism, I continued to work as a freelance video editor, and also had a placement at ITN London news desk. I made a documentary based on a story I covered for ITN, and this film is now cited at UCL and SOAS for courses in political anthropology, as it documents Britain's first ever mayor to be removed from office through High Court. I was able then to use my multimedia skills to work as a video producer, then senior editor of the video desk at the MailOnline where I broke many national stories using my own advanced social media analysis. During my time at the MailOnline I also live streamed on location to the home page using Facebook Live, covering stories such as the Grenfell Tower tragedy, and developed trust with an anarchist housing group who occupied a vacant property near Buckingham Palace where I conducted an interview inside before the police forced entry. I left my three-year position at the MailOnline in spring 2018 to seek new opportunities and experiences, and since then have worked as a freelance video editor, and currently have a part time position in MarkComs for a charity and also an associate lecturer at Goldsmiths where I teach media law and ethics.

I am passionate about political and social issues, and would like the opportunity to use my combined journalistic and filmmaking skills to produce work of great public interest. I have also recently began a podcast on the subject of single-life in Britain - a medium that I use for both professional and person interest.
