About me
Hi, I'm Katie.
I have worked as the editor of two platforms in South Africa, and as a contributing writer and editor to Dezeen and ICON.
After finishing my masters in literature at the University of Edinburgh in 2010, I have lived for much of the last 8 years in the southern hemisphere, writing about creativity, culture and resourcefulness on the African continent and beyond. For two and a half years I worked as editor-in-chief of Design Indaba's online publication. As a freelancer, I have focused on entrepreneurial designers, architects and creatives. I have great attention to detail, a highly imaginative mind, am a self-sufficient worker, and am a great contributor and leader of any creative team. I am currently working with an online education platform that specialises in short courses (many in the advertising/marketing world).
I've also written PR material for several architecture firms.
