About me

My degree in textile design and my last job at the forefront of the Laura Ashley Interior Design service, in central London and more recently the North, has given me extensive experience in the world of Interior Design, space planning and project managing commercial and hospitality interiors. At Laura Ashley I managed my own diary and effectively ran my own business day to day to achieve my individual targets whilst also working well as part of a larger team. Last year I finished in the top 3 designers in the company, vastly exceeding my target. My extensive site experience resulted in my area manager requesting my assistance in mentoring new starters and under performing designers and I was also requested to join the areas management team.

I have experience working across a wide range of creative projects, individually on smaller commercial projects such as houses and as a team for bigger hospitality interiors such a designing the Laura Ashley hotels. Tasked with creating defined living spaces, effectively within a building site, I work initially from drawings using conceptual skills detailing specific areas focusing on a high-end product. I run multiple projects from initial concept to completion; meeting with the client and suppliers, costing proposals and on site management are all part of my daily routine.

I am passionate about design and this shows through in my work allowing me to build an excellent rapport with my clients day to day. My performance with in-home design & sales along with my commercial approach to problem solving allows me to generate fresh solutions for interior space under strict deadlines and within tight budget constraints.
