HI there,

My name is Kate and I'm from Ireland. I have a Degree in Visual Communications, a Masters in Public Relations and I have also some course certificates in Web Design and Multi Media.

For the last year I have been working in PR in LOreal in their Press Office managing three brands YSL beauty, Lancome and Clarisonic.

Before this I worked for a year with Cameo Communications, who are a PR company in Cork and they specialise in B2B PR.

My first taste of working as a Graphic Designer was when I moved to Dubai for 3 months during college and undertook an internship. Here is where my passion for Graphics really kicked in as I saw my work stretched across bridge banners on the free ways and in local malls.

After University I started to work as Junior Graphic Designer for Coolmore Stud Farm working on daily print advertisements as well as creating online content like cinemagraphs, gifs, interstitials and banners. I also worked with the marketing department to create email campaigns. After 6 months here I was promoted to Mid weight and worked on one of the most prestigious projects within the company, the Breeders handbook for Ireland and a second for America. 10,000 of each of these were produced and sent directly to valued clients of Coolmore.

In my own free time I enjoy writing, recently I wrote a script for the Middle Eastern market and with the help of Navigations Films in Dubai I filmed a promo episode. I then organised a meeting with Fox International and after discussing possible changes to the script, they were happy for me to film 13 episodes to be aired on their network to their 15 million viewers.

Unfortunately, the Managing Director changed and my show was shelved as Fox changed to Pay-Per-View. It was a great experience and I loved living in the Middle East for 3 months. It has encouraged me to pursue writing in a more professional manner and I continue to write short scripts in my free time.

Being a creative person who is not only ambitious but very curious about the world, I find myself always wondering about the endless creative possibilities out there that I have yet to explore. I am hoping to ind a position that is exciting and I feel motivated and energised by the work and team that I will be joining.
