About me
I have just returned to the UK from a year in Tokyo with a refreshing and liberating outlook that's been inspired by the Japanese culture and advanced, fast paced way of life. I am now looking to begin a new challenge in a long-term career move that will fully utilize my skills of organization, ability to communicate on all levels and gift for design and creativity.
I am an outgoing and lively person and I bring a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards achieving new challenges. I am a results-driven person who likes to set achievable goals and learn from every situation I face. I have excellent social skills and can interact with most people either on an intellectual or personal level. I am a good listener and team player but I can also get on with things on my own without much supervision.
My varied work experience I believe has allowed me to develop different skill sets.I worked at Colefax and Fowler for over a year in which I acquired good communication skills both written and verbal. I adapted quickly to the computer systems and my sales record for accuracy and efficiency was continuously high. I needed to have good attention to detail when inspecting fabrics for faults.
I worked at the Edinburgh Fashion Festival in 2006 in which I was overseeing designer interviews. It was crucial that the interviews did not run over their time slot so I needed to communicate this to journalists and designers involved
Since returning from Japan a few months ago I have worked part time for Wire Media assisting them with the Heather Peace UK music tour. I have gained skills such as how to work to tight deadlines by being extremely organised and highly articulate when communicating with major fashion retailers.
