About me
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to seek out graduate employment, I am a recent graduate, gaining a BA (hons) Visual Communication (Graphic Communication) with a 68% 2:1 classification at Birmingham City University. I have previously expressed my desire to in work in the design industry to former colleagues and lecturers at my current institute, as well as keeping closely in contact with relevant websites for any suitable roles.
I believe my prior work experience and studies make me an excellent fit for the creative industry. I am extremely passionate about design and would describe myself as a multidisciplinary designer with a specialism in brand design. Whilst pursuing my studies both in the UK and Netherlands, I continued my own personal freelance work, allowing me to network and gain valuable clients both locally and internationally. Resultantly, this has, and continues to, equip me with relevant skills to solve complex issues organisations face; an understanding that is vital in continuing to develop your company's work.
I have varied experience in marketing and communications, gained from working across various functions, and this has enabled me to develop the skills to create high quality pieces of content. I believe my ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, will be key to success in this role where educating, supporting and guiding others plays a key role.
Whilst working at Gomez-Gracia and UTX Magazine, as a Junior Designer, I managed various projects allowing me to develop key organisational, leadership and time management skills. I believe both of these invaluable experiences have relevantly prepared me for industry, by gaining such a great set of transferable skills.
I am extremely interested in the work of a Junior Designer and the roles and responsibilities that come with it. I believe this role would allow me an excellent opportunity to apply my previous work experience, academic experience and passion, to contribute to your company's success.
