Designer biography-
Menswear designer; Kat Parkinson originally from Bristol considered elements with fine art at the forefront. Whilst studying on her Art Foundation she discovered her love for transforming art into garments. The challenge of discovering new textiles and ways of pattern cutting encouraged her to push further and undertake a degree in fashion design at the University of South Wales. Experimenting with new found skills in pattern cutting she explored womenswear and menswear. Over the duration of her year in industry she discovered a style of menswear that inspired different ways of creating garments whilst working with the print designer at Jonathan Saunders. Now a dedicated lover of avant garde menswear she wants to push boundaries within this evolving area of fashion. To blur the lines between menswear and womenswear and to try and make people re-think the way they shop.
