About me

I am an aspiring editor who has been working as a tape / technical operator in a busy duplication room for 1 year now. I am looking to take the next step in my career and progress to assistant editor.

I was promoted from a runner within two months of joining my current company due to my proven enthusiasm and professionalism towards clients. My current role has allowed me to gain a thorough understanding of the technical operations within the post production process. I have worked with and am experienced with all major tape and file formats to date.

My self motivation has been constantly proven by spending many regular hours in the Avid editing suites in my own time. I try to take every opportunity to sit in on offline and online edits to see the applications used to a high professional standard. I have also spent many hours with the edit assistants which has helped me gaining an understanding of the avid unity whilst learning how to digitize, conform and play out.

To date my main achievements are gaining a Bachelors Degree to a 2:1 standard and setting off on my own travelling for one year, where upon I learned a great deal about myself which helped me decide on my chosen career path.

Since being in the industry I have completed the production of my own project and am now in the post production process. I have many more ideas for future projects and hope to start shooting soon.
