Hello!

My name is Karine and I am Illustrator and Graphic Designer. As an Illustrator and Graphic Designer I used my visual language to communicate with people. I work digitally as well as in old - fashioned way. Finding my own personal way of using a new technology, I can really add a new style to my work, the power an image can have over people, feelings it can deliver, questions it can ask and answer. I guess following a career in Illustration and Graphic Design is just a way to consolidate ideas into a palatable format so people can really relate to it. I'm enamoured with semiotic ideas of communication and inspiration that art entails. If you can really sell message or an idea to someone, that's great thing to do. I was always interested in a visual language as another form of communication and sending your personal message to people. Everything has its meaning and a good illustrator can decode this meaning in his works.

I am a friendly , enthusiastic person who is self-motivated and very well organise. I work well as part of a team and have the ability to learn new skills easily.I am a flexible , reliable and committed employee who always maintains a positive attitude.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and standard office applications. Comfortable with Mac and PC platforms.

BA (Hons) Illustration & Design: Grade 2:1, BTEC National Diploma in Art & Design Edexcel Level 3 Triple Merit, BTEC Award in Photography Edexcel Level 1 Merit, Won competition to design the official Christmas card for the Bishop Auckland College. Cards were sent to college students and key partners.
