About me

I am a dedicated and reliable worker, I work well independently and believe myself to be a good asset to any working team, I feel confident that I can approach any aspect of working life open minded and whole - heartedly with a great deal of dedication to any role I am given. I am very passionate about photography and love to challenge myself and learn new aspects and skills within the industry. I have recently finished a B-tec national diploma in photography and during the two years i was studying i gained many skills not only in traditional techniques but modern techniques too. Despite its ever decreasing popularity, i love film photography and am very confident in using 35mm film and medium format films and cameras, i am able to process my own film and use varying printing techniques within the darkroom area. I am also knowledgeable within the digital forms of photography, i am very confident with D-SLRs, and editing suits such as Photoshop. My skill set is varied within Photoshop i can perform basic tasks such as adjusting lighting, brightness, contrast, curves etc I also know how to airbrush and use layers and layer masks confidently, but i would love to learn more. I have used studios before, but it is definitely and area i would like to improve on, i understand lighting set ups, using tungsten and flash unit lights and accessories, soft boxes, beauty dishes and honeycomb filters etc. Since leaving my course i have pursued freelance work and have obtained some experience with weddings and events, but i would love the opportunity to gain more work experience either as an assistant photographer, apprentice or assistant retoucher.
