About me
Hello!
My name is Kanika Kumar and I am a Lifestyle Designer at Coach. I am a graduate of Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. I have spent the last year working in accessory and specialty product design in the fashion industry, and am now looking to experience a new perspective.
I consider myself a hybrid designer, in that I am constantly balancing the line between product design and experience design; between the structural and the digital. Further, I also bring experience in the fashion industry, and dealing with different clients to the table. I hope to bring fresh perspective and a can do attitude to the team! Some of my skills include product design, graphic design and interaction design skills using the Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Invision, Sketch, Figma, Computer modeling skills using Rhinoceros and Solidworks, and other 3D skills including wood, leather, metal work, foam modeling and 2D work skills such as painting and concept sketching. I also possess elementary skills in coding using the languages HTML, CSS, Javascript and Python. I have also spent my whole life living in different countries, and around people that are very different from me, so I am quick to adapt to new environments and put myself in different personas' shoes when working. I pride myself on thinking differently, and I hope my versatile background and can do attitude could bring some fresh perspective into the mix!
