Dear Sir/Madam,

There are three main reasons for my application in regards to this specific role. Firstly, I am applying for this position as I would like the opportunity to work in a stimulating and creative environment, where I am able to enhance my current skills. Secondly, I am very passionate about design/multimedia and I would like to pursue a long-term career within this sector. Thirdly, I feel that I have the required skill set needed for this specific role. I have enclosed my Curriculum Vitae below for your attention, and would hope that you find my details of interest.

My position as a multimedia and marketing assistant at Coussins Associates has been a diverse role where I have gained excellent technical and organisational skills. My duties varied from general admin tasks to carrying our research and capturing footage, whilst working on different projects. I have also undertaken some voluntary work experience with Espresso Animation and I am helping with various community projects during my free time.

In 2006 I passed my Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) Professional exam. This has given me the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge about different internet/web technologies, site development essentials and understanding the importance of effective project management. I am competent in most Microsoft packages (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Through my work placements and graphic design course I have had the opportunity to use Quark Express (basic), Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Avid Liquid 7, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro. I am able to work on a PC and MAC.

Overall my Curriculum Vitae illustrates that I can offer a number of relevant skills that I have acquired during the course of my degree and my work placements. I am a team player but I am also able to work independently to complete tasks efficiently. In all aspects of my life I have always aimed to ensure that my work is accurate and of a high standard. More importantly I am an ambitious and determined individual.
