Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a third year student in Product Design at Bangor University, which graduate at July 2015. I am applying for Product Designer.

I am interested in the programme because I would like to explore design and develop a career in this area. I am attracted to your Product Designer position because it is a unique opportunity to see how all-functional divisions in a company operate and link together. It also will provide me great experience to work with different people. I would like to work for your company because it is a part of an international and well-established group and I believe I will gain good experience by working alongside the market. My active involvement in Enterprise by design event at Bangor University helps me to develop my communication, design and marketing knowledge in a systematic way.

Moreover, I believe I am well suited for this position because through my various work placement experience in UK, I have developed competencies required for this role. During my work placement in three companies in UK, I have to work closely with the team members and facing different clients, which developed my communication and presentation skills better. Also, the way of designing in different area is also enhanced. As a foreigner, these experiences help me to develop confidence to work within a team or dependently. In addition, I can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin fluently makes me to communicate to overseas clients. Also, my university studies provide me basic technology proficiency. We are taught to use Adobe Creative Suite software to publishing our academic work, in particular InDesign and Photoshop.
