About me

Education
2007 Master's degree in graphic art/book illustration. Went to the Vilnius Academy of Art.

Work experience
Since 2009 I am a designer in the "Garsu Pasaulis" printing house. My job is to create a safe design for documents, such as passports, ID cards, driver's licenses, etc., for foreign countries. This niche is very specific and narrow, so I went to courses for a month in Hungary to learn the software for designing such documents. The most important thing in this kind of design is to weave high-security elements into the view that is visible with the naked eye, but hide them so you couldn't spot them without knowing exactly where to look. That way eliminates the possibility of falsifying the document easily. It's very subtle work, unlike any other type of graphic design. I could include only a few pieces of examples in my portfolio because of the contract.

Before this position, I worked as a layout designer in the magazine about forests for four years. I used to prepare additional magazines for kids as well. I also occasionally had contracted as a storyboard artist from various advertising agencies in Vilnius.
In my free time, I used to create book covers, layouts, and illustrations for several booksellers and printing houses.

I can work with several graphic design software, I also draw and paint.

Computer skills
I can work with the following software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Painter, Jura.
Languages: Lithuanian (primary), English (very good), Russian (only speaking), Spanish (basic).

Exhibitions
I had participated in several joined student exhibitions in Vilnius (2006, 2007, 2008) also in one international exhibition in Kyiv (2007). I had my first personal show in 2006. In 2011 two of my colleagues and I arranged a joint exhibition in a theater. In 2020 I had my second personal show with my latest works "Baltic gods" in Vilnius.

I am a member of the Lithuanian Artist association since 2019 and a member of the LATGA association since 2020.

International art magazine "Diogen" had chosen me for its February issue as a theme artist in 2016.
