About me

Having graduated from Winchester School of Art with a BA (Hons) Textile Design, I am greatly interested in a career in the fashion industry and would like to expand on my knowledge and experience of this area.

Since graduating I have carried out work placements at the head office of Warehouse, where I gained experience of the design and buying departments, as well as assisting the fashion stylist of Essentials magazine, allowing me a greater insight into the industry.

Currently I am working as a Concession Manager of the footwear department, and previously as a Sales Assistant for Wallis, allowing me to further develop my commercial awareness, and an understanding of retail from a shop floor perspective. As well as increasing my interest in fashion, it has enabled me to experience first hand consumers reactions and comments to products instore, as well as to develop my own ideas and thoughts of what I believe customers want.

Being responsible for the department has meant that I have learnt quickly how to work independently and be accountable for my own decisions which affect others around me. As well as allowing me to develop my communication skills from dealing with everyone from customers through to head office.

I am fully computer literate and have extended experience of Microsoft Office, and particularly Photoshop which was a necessity during my degree course.
