About me

I graduated from Cleveland College of Art and Design in June 2003, where I achieved a first class degree in 'Textiles and Surface Pattern Design'. For the past two years I have been working for John Kaldor UK in London, as a 'CAD Designer and Colourist'. However, I recently re-located back to the Northeast and I am currently looking for the opportunity to further my career within the fashion design industry.

In my role at John Kaldor UK, I designed prints for Ladies fashion fabrics working with customers such as Marks and Spencer, Wallis, Hobbs and Next, to name but a few. My role also entailed working to customer briefings and deadlines, buying at international trade-shows, researching and applying trend information, compiling seasonal design ranges and liasing with printing mills in the Far East and Europe.

Along with my keen eye for colour and design, I am also passionate about working within the fashion industry. I am a confident and approachable person, and I enjoy meeting new people. I like to work as part of a team, however, I also have the ability to be proactive and self motivated in my work. I like my work to be challenging and rewarding, and I always strive to meet my ambitions.

I feel that my creative skills and career experience are suited towards a commercial textile/fashion design role.
