About me

I have worked with two online retailers designing Home Pages, Mailers and many other projects. I am currently a Creative/Editorial Graphic Designer at Matches Fashion.com where my contract is coming to an end, and so I am looking for my next opportunity.

At university my grades were top of the class every year, in my final year I was rewarded with a first class honours degree in Fashion Illustration mastering in Graphic Design and Animation, which was also the highest mark of the year. This shows that I take my career very seriously, and have a passion to learn and succeed. I taught myself Photoshop and Illustrator when I was 14, as I knew that they are vital to my future, in which I feel very confident in them both and now in In Design, Dreamweaver and Flash and a fair knowledge of HTML.My final major project at University was a 5 minute animated music video for the track ‘Syncopated City' by the famous London Drum & Bass producer LondonElektricity. I had touched on animation in my first year, but knew that this was the type of project that would allow me to show my skills.
I had to teach myself many animation skills and learn the software to go with such as iStopmotion and Final Cut Pro. It was the satisfaction I get from learning and my passion for my work that inspired me to develop my abilities independently and push my self even further. It is this passion that makes me ideal to work in such a creative sector.

Since graduating from univeristy I have had a lot of experience in creating brandidentites. I have been the sole designer for businesses such as' The King of Denmark' a Gastro Pub, ‘Some Think Blue' a culture magazine, and ‘Viva La Sleaze' club nights. I most enjoyed, however, my role at Fashionair, a cutting edge fashion website. It was here I was able to follow a brands guidelines but also able to explore and develop new avenues of design for the brand. Now working at Matches I follow their brand identity when designing whole ranges of digital and print media. I work closely with the tech team to create exciting home page animations and graphics.

To keep myself even busier and to follow my love of design I decided to start an online magazine with 2 partners. I was in charge of the whole look and feel making it attractive to the market we aimed for which were, recent graduates,creatives all within the age bracket of . I designed our brand identity, magazine, promotional material and built our website.
. I am very passionate about my work and bring that ethic to all the jobs that I do. I have such a passion for life, music, art and realise how lucky I am to be able to do something I love, therefore I work even harder and more meticulously. I am able to work in all areas of design from small creative projects to larger more corporate assignments. I find every job I receive even what could be the most boring exciting, as it is a start of learning something new and feeling satisfaction once the client is happy and the finished article is complete.
