This animation brief required us to tell the story of Rio Tinto's future vision for mining. We took reference from a 2D illustration & revisualises it into a lengthy 3D Animation. In essence this meant creating a multi-scale, fully animated world that describes the process of the modern mine from pit to port. The challenge was to keep a highly treated CGI animated look and still be able to transition into real live footage and then back again into the animated world.
