To whom it may concern,
I was exceedingly interested in your current position for a copywriter of which I was recently referred to. I am a recent graduate of Brunel University, attaining a 2:1 with honours in English and am at present seeking employment within content writing and editing. Having researched you company, learning of its excellent opportunities for training and development, I saw this as an invaluable opportunity to develop my skill set further from leaders at the forefront of this field.
I have worked consistently throughout my time in education and, as reflected in my qualifications, have maintained a high level of success, boasting a zealous ability for both my research and writing skills. More notably, I have a record for excelling within a diverse set of demanding environments and as seen within my CV, rise quickly to excel taking on various responsibilities. The subject I chose, specifically meant that I had to be highly organised and efficient in my time management. I am comfortable in dealing respectfully with all levels of management within a company structure. Whilst at my previous employment I pro-actively approached the management about handing out employee film reviews to improve customer satisfaction and repeat business.
I retain a competent knowledge of Microsoft based applications and remain individually motivated in my personal work, while also illustrating an aptitude to work within a team driven environment. In my previous customer facing role, I exhibited a positive and enthusiastic approach to my work which was recognised as I was given additional responsibilities, training others within the company. My individual motivation can furthermore be seen in the regular content I continue to produce during my spare time on my self-published blog; in which I relate my walking excursions around the urban context of London. I also write part-time for an online film and television news source, where I have gained invaluable experience with working towards tight deadlines in a competitive writing climate.
My interest in content writing and copy-writing stems from my attraction to the research process itself and the desirability to understand systems of development. I have a natural ability for being meticulous and detailed and saw copy-writing as an ideal space towards which I can apply my skill set too. More than this, I have an avid interest to develop my understanding of non-creative based subjects, combining my creative skill set with my aptitude for consuming practical and logically information.
