Dear Sirs,

I am writing to you regarding the job advertisement for Graduate Graphic Designer/Creative. I am interested in this role as I feel I am well suited to the requirements and have always been interested in Graphic Design and have always enjoyed the reward from creating something visually aesthetic and appealing, I love working with the look and feel of an idea and perfecting the end result.

I have recently completed a degree in Product Design 2:1 BA(Hons) which involved a strong use of Graphic Design and creation throughout the course in order to make attractive design boards for my work and also taking the frontline in briefs making logos and visual imaginations of mobile applications. I have found that after my course at University the main skills I have carried forward into freelance work are graphical. Utilising software skills in Photoshop and InDesign to create logos and rapidly mock up conceptual imagery of architectural development and site maps for planned development at venues. I am also in the process of working with a company in my spare time to create the graphical element to a website for them, I have taken them from analysing their existing website and content and recreating it in a more logical layout and then creating various graphic prototypical layouts and now building the initial online model.

I feel that one of my main accolades is my proficiency in organisational qualities, because of this my time and self-management of projects has always been on point, even under pressure. I also feel my organisational skill provides reliable driving force to any team and enjoy melding ideas with colleagues into the optimal design response.

I have an adept knowledge with Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator and I am proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint. During my education (using both Mac and PC) I have also taken Photography to an AS level standard, acquiring a developed knowledge of visual photogenics. My education in Product Design will be beneficial to being able to proficiently liaise with other design teams. I also wrote my dissertation on branding which I achieved a 1st grade for and acquired a good level of knowledge on branding techniques.
