About me

First, let me introduce myself, I am a recently graduated Graphic Design student from Northumbria university and have now returned home to East Yorkshire. Naturally I am on a search for exciting companies to get involved with. With my current career experience and knowledge, I feel I would suit the needs of a position working within your company. As you can see from my enclosed CV, I recently graduated, giving me fresh ideas as well as knowledge of current trends in the field. Even more so through an online design and illustration blog I run, allowing me to keep up to date with other designers. I also spent two years with Jessops where I gained extensive experience in retail and selling but also with customer service, often having to advise customers on product choices or deal with complaints both in person and on the phone. Although not in the field of graphic design, the skills learnt would benefit a career in this role. Working at Jessops also gave the skills to work both independently and as a team. For example I would often man the store on a Sunday where I would be in a position of make executive decisions, on the other hand team work played a large part as selling need not always be solo effort. I furthered these skills on a full time work placement with YOU in London, working solely on packaging it gave me the opportunity to work with others in the development and designing of concepts.

I am soon moving into Hull and I am keen to find a job in the local area.
