About me
JORGE ROJO
Filmmaker and animator based in London/Mexico.
I have stories to tell and I love to do it visually. So I'll start with my own story::
Establishing Shot
I was born in Mexico City in the amazing '80s. Since I was a child and thanks to my parents I had a big influence from films and novels, I just love them.
Full shot
I studied New Visual Narratives in Berlin and then Character Animation in London. For about 8 years I've directed several ads, music videos and short films (Live Action and Animation).
Mid shot
I usually start with understanding the message of the story: what is it that you want to say
Low Angle
As a film director in 2007 I won the "Transparencia en Corto" National Award in Mexico with my first animated short film, In 2012, I won a National Fund to direct my second animated film called "Invisible", selected in several festivals around the globe. 2017 Winner of the National Fund for Culture and Arts Scholarship to study Character Animation at Central Saint Martins, London.
