Dear Sir or Madam,

I am Jordi Canela, a 3D Motion Designer and Art Director, and I would like to apply for the position posted at motionographer.com. I am Graduated in Fine Arts by the UCM University of Madrid, with experience doing a wide variety of works in 3D and postproduction, frommotion graphicsfor advertisingtoarchitectural visualization, and covering different formats from TV toweb interactive content. I have worked for various advertising agenciesand production companies, both full time and as a freelance.Some of this companies are: McCann Erickson, Shackleton Group, Creative Orchestra, Atomic Arts and The Odd Machine.

I am used to make important contributions to the project's concept and make creative proposals, adding value to the final motion work. I am also able to develop a rough idea to its final state, illustrating a previously specified concept and managing the whole Motion Art Direction. I have examples of motion graphics work I can show where I was responsible of several tasks from the concept to the final video editing. Some of the works I have participate in have been awarded in advertising festivals worldwide.

I am used to complete works from start to finish, and solve by my own all the complications every different motion project arises. I use tools such as 3DS Max, Maya and compositing and editing programs such as After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop. When a project is challenging enough I usually do some research work looking for new tools that the project could benefit from. This way I gained some experience too, working with different specialized software asVray rendering plug in, Zbrush modelling tools,Synth eyes camera tracker, Real flow liquids simulator, Dreamscape parametric sea surface and others.
